Do I need an account to play Numerly?
No. Every puzzle, the daily challenge, your coin balance and your streak all work without signing in — progress is stored on your device. Signing in is only useful if you want your progress to appear on the public leaderboard or to carry it to another device.
How do coins work?
You earn coins by solving puzzles and by keeping your daily streak alive, and you spend them on hints. A first hint costs 20 coins and revealing the full answer costs 50. Puzzles solved with a hint do not pay a coin reward, so the economy stays balanced. New players start with a stack of coins so you can try hints before deciding whether to buy any.
What is the difference between a hint and revealing the answer?
A hint tells you what kind of rule is at work — for example that opposite pairs matter, or that the sequence is multiplying rather than adding — without giving you the number. Revealing the answer shows the missing value together with a full written explanation of the rule. Most solvers only need the hint.
How does the daily puzzle work?
A new daily puzzle unlocks at midnight UTC and you have five minutes on the clock to solve it. Everyone gets the same puzzle on the same day, so times are comparable, and finishing extends your streak. Missing a day resets the streak but never your overall progress.
Why did my streak reset?
Streaks count consecutive days on which you completed the daily puzzle, measured in UTC rather than your local time zone. If you play late at night your day may already have rolled over. Clearing your browser data on a device where you are not signed in will also clear the locally stored streak.
What is inside the printable PDF packs?
Each pack is a print-ready PDF with four puzzles per page and a full answer key at the back. They use the same hand-drawn artwork as the site, sized for A4 and US Letter, and they are designed for classrooms, revision folders and screen-free practice. A free sampler is available if you want to see the format before buying.
How do I get my PDF after paying?
The download starts on the confirmation screen immediately after checkout, and the same link is emailed to the address you used at checkout. You do not need an account — the purchase is tied to a claim link. If you lose it, write to support@numerly.in with your order reference and we will resend it.
Who handles payments, and can I get a refund?
Payments are processed by Paddle, who act as merchant of record, so your card details never touch our servers and local taxes are handled correctly. Everything sold on Numerly carries a 30-day refund policy — email support@numerly.in and we will process it, no argument.
Are the puzzles suitable for classrooms?
Yes, and teachers are a large part of why we make the printable packs. The early worlds suit roughly ages 8 to 12, the middle worlds suit secondary students, and the Hourglass world is genuinely hard for adults. Nothing on the site requires student accounts or collects student data.
I found a puzzle with two possible answers. What should I do?
Please tell us. Every puzzle is supposed to have exactly one rule that explains it, and an ambiguous figure is a bug on our side. Email support@numerly.in with the puzzle code shown on the page and we will fix or remove it.
Does Numerly work offline or on mobile?
The site is built mobile-first and installs as a web app on Android and iOS, so you can add it to your home screen and play full-screen. Puzzles you have already opened stay available briefly if you lose connection, but a full offline mode is not supported yet.
Is Numerly free?
The puzzles, the daily challenge, streaks and the leaderboard are free and always will be. The site is funded by optional coin purchases, printable PDF packs and advertising.
